Introducing the Asset Discovery Snapshot: see your organisation from the outside in

Your attack surface is not just your main website.

It is the domains, IPs, services and internet-facing assets connected to your organisation. Some are well managed. Some are old, forgotten or inherited. Some only become visible when you look from the outside in.

That’s the view we wanted to make easy to get. The Asset Discovery Snapshot takes a domain, looks from the outside, and shows what we can find in a couple of seconds. No account, no form, no sales call.

Snapshot is a first view, not a complete one. It does not run the deep, recursive discovery or provide the risk analysis and remediation management of the full Hexiosec ASM platform, and it does not replace ongoing monitoring.

It helps answer a simple question:

What does my organisation look like from the outside?

From Snapshot to full visibility

External attack surfaces rarely stay neat. The first domain often leads to more domains, services, and connected infrastructure. Because of this, we structure our Attack Surface Management (ASM) into distinct stages, allowing you to scale your visibility as needed.

Stage Best for What it answers What you get
Snapshot (Free) A quick first look. What does my internet-facing footprint look like? An instant preview of your primary internet-facing estate, with no sign-up required.
Free ASM Account Deeper analysis after sign-up. What risks exist across the assets analysed so far? Deeper analysis of the assets found so far, with a discovery allowance of 50 domains/IPs.
Premium & Enterprise ASM Accounts Larger estates and ongoing visibility. What else is exposed beyond the free allowance? Continuous, recursive discovery and deeper analysis beyond the free account’s processing allowance.

Comparing the scans

Across an anonymised sample of 100 organisations, a full ASM scan found a median of nearly three times as many domains as Asset Discovery Snapshot. This is because ASM uses recursive discovery and additional checks to provide a more complete view of the external attack surface. You can view the current pricing for Premium and Enterprise on our ASM Pricing Page to see how we scale with your organisation.

If your estate is small, the free account may be all you ever need, and that’s deliberate. For most smaller organisations, the allowance of 50 domains and IPs covers the whole discovered estate, so the free scan analyses all of it, not a sample. We don’t think decent security should depend on the size of your budget, so the smaller you are, the more you get for free. The paid tiers are there for estates that outgrow the allowance.

The next step

For some organisations, that first Snapshot view will confirm what they already suspected. For others, it will reveal that their internet-facing footprint is much larger than expected.

Either way, it gives you a practical place to start and a clear view of what you’re exposing.

Run an Asset Discovery Snapshot today to instantly map your primary assets.
